What is Placenta Encapsulation? The process of consuming your placenta in a capsule form. Placenta specialists can also process your placenta in to tinctures, smoothies, chocolates, keepsakes and more. I use herbal remedies to enhance your placenta to get them most benefit for you.

Raw Method-

Placenta is cleaned and inspected, then sliced thinly and dehydrated at 160 degrees for safe consumption.

• Pros of this method: Higher vitamin, mineral and hormone content, More capsules, Great for energy boosting

• Cons of this method: Higher hormones can increase anxiety, Longer processing time, Should not be done if Strep B+

Balanced Method aka The Chinese Method-

Placenta is cleaned and inspected, then placed in a steamer with organic herbs (lemon, ginger and chili) then sliced thinly and dehydrated at 160 degrees for safe consumption.

• Pros of this method: Lower vitamin, mineral and hormone strength * the herbs in this method make it a  better fit for naturally anxious persons and dads who use placenta for male postpartum depression/disorders, Quicker processing time

• Cons of this method: Less capsules

50/50 Method-

Placenta processed in the 50/50 method is nice because it offers you the best of both worlds. You are able to try both methods to see if you like one better than the other or even mix and match for more specific dosages. 

• Pros of this method: You don't have to choose, mix and match your dosages

• Cons of this method: Less of your preferred method, not advised for Strep B+

All Encapsulation packages include an umbilical cord keepsake which can be made into a heart, butterfly or LOVE depending on cord length as well as placenta prints.

Something unique about placenta encapsulation with Your Friendly Herbalist Momma is the added benefit of an Herbalist! I offer herbal infusions such as Moringa, Ashwagandha, and Mushroom blends. (No not the magic ones although I find the immune and brain power benefits to hold their own magic.) I also have a trauma treatment that can be added to the balanced method.

*Placenta tinctures can be made even after your placenta is encapsulated. Placenta capsules are good for consumption for a year and after that if you still have capsules I would be honored to preserve the rest of your placenta in a salve and/or tincture.

Losing your baby is losing a future you envisioned, it's losing a part of your heart, losing a whole timeline and when your world stops the rest of the world seems to spin 10x fast leaving you behind. I can not take that pain from you. I can not fix it but I can and I will hold space for you. I will give you any bit of your baby I can back. Bereavement care is not something I chose to do lightly. I actually chose this path because I to have walked the path of losing my baby. I wish this service was not even a thought but because I have lost I will honor your space and your baby the same way I would honor my own. I pray that through this service you are able to find a blip of peace.

1st Trimester Cremation- Much like the placenta dehydration process I will clean and inspect your baby, placenta, tissue etc. Then I will dehydrate them and process until you have essentially ash in a small glass jar that is sealed with beeswax. I will explain everything and take pictures of your love in a bed of flowers. I will give you everything in my power to get closer. I also make small care bags.

All Loss Keepsakes- Similar to placenta packages I can make prints and keepsakes with your baby's cord and placenta. We can discuss what you may like done and I will do my very best to create that for you. 

Bereavement Lactation Support- When you lose your baby even early losses your milk may come in. If it does and even if it doesn't you have options and support.
